Believe it or not, it's the first time the Mont-Royal Avenue has had a street sale since the beginning of the pandemic: From August 26 to August 29 between Saint-Laurent Boulevard and Fullum Street, the longest street sale in Montreal is happening with all kinds of shops along the way expanding their retail space while bars and restaaurants' terrasses come alive for the occasion.

The street has been pedestrianized for the greater part of the summer, but this is a first when it comes to retailers and other businesses having an extended opportunity to strut (and sell) their stuff.

According to the SDC for the street, street performances and surprise attractions will be popping up with little to no announcement, and that means that there will be an abundance of entertainment for people of all ages: Puppets Jacques and Zébra de l'Illusion, another puppet theater, the Monsieur Mou mime show, and three performances of traditional music from La Chasse-Balcon and a ground named End Of the Weak will be putting on performances.

The street sale is expected to run Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; bars and restaurants won't be following these hours.
