Get ready for free activities like a wood cutting competition, special storytelling hours, a hot sauce contest, traditional dancing, coureur des bois workshops, campfires and more.
Learn how to play the wooden spoon, churn your own butter or make a candle.
Discover more about Indigenous traditions surrounding maple water, how to recognize tracks left by Quebec wildlife or roll up your sleeves for a friendly game of tug of war.
You can even pop into the on-site barbershop for a trim.
It’s no wonder rue Wellington was ranked coolest street in the world.
Don’t miss free performances by the 9 musical artists from across the province who will be hitting the main stage this year.
There's also a concert at Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Douleurs Church on Saturday, March 23 at 7 p.m. called Candlelight: Sugar Shack Music and Folk Songs (tickets are $30).
When is Montreal’s giant sugar shack festival?
Cabane Panache runs from March 21 to 24, 2024.
How do I get to Montreal’s giant sugar shack festival?
It’s easy to access Promenade Wellington via De l'Église metro station: Wellington exit on the green line, or by bike (there are several bike racks on site).
You can also travel by bus (routes 12, 37, 58, 61 and 350) and there are more than 500 parking spaces nearby, including the Éthel parking garage with its 250 spaces (4000 rue Éthel).
