April Fools?

It’s been more than a few days since snow has been an issue in Montreal (we’re not going to forget the record-breaking snowfall anytime soon), but that unseasonably warm stretch is a thing of the past.

Mother Nature has pulled an early April Fools', dumping some (very) unwelcome snow this wintery morning, with more inclement weather on the horizon.

Today started out with a winter flashback we'd rather forget, transitioning into rain with temperatures hovering around 5°C.

According to Environment Canada, Tuesday will be a  mix of rain and snow throughout the day, with a high of 4°C.

Wednesday will get a bit colder, with scattered flurries, snow-rain showers, and a little more sunshine. Bonus: there should be a slight warm-up with highs reaching 5°C.

The end-of-week forecast calls for a mix of sun and clouds, with temperatures steady at 5°C, and snow with overnight lows of -7°C and -4°C.

Is there snowfall in Montreal?

2-4 cm of snow fall fell in Montreal this morning, with more to come.

Time Out Tip: don’t be in a rush to change your winter tires…this week is going to be a slippery one, and Montreal saw a snowfall of 26 cm in April 2024.
