According to a recent alert issued by Environment Canada, chances are high for significant snowfall on Friday. The alert has been issued for the Châteauguay - La Prairie area, Laval area, Longueuil - Varennes area and Montréal Island area.

When will the snowfall start?
Snowfall is expected to begin Friday morning over Southern Quebec, while snow is expected to develop later in the day over Central Quebec.
If you’re planning on hitting the ski hill Friday, here’s a heads up: The snow is expected to accumulate quickly and make travel challenging, so make sure you factor in more time and are extra cautious—as temperatures hover around the freezing mark, heavy, sticky snow is on the menu.
