When is the Bagel Burlesque Expo?
This sexy fun kicks off on April 26, 2024, followed by another performance on April 27, 2024, at Studio TD.
What does neo-burlesque mean?
It's a modern twist on traditional burlesque, marked by performances that mix stripping with theatrical, humorous, or quirky elements. Neo-burlesque is designed to evoke a range of emotions through its unique blend of artistry.
Why is it called Bagel Burlesque Expo?
"Bagel" was chosen to honour Montreal's iconic bagels, a symbol of the city's heritage linked to Jewish immigration from Eastern Europe in the 20th century, and "Burlesque" reflects the art form being showcased. "Expo" is a nod to Montreal's historic Expo 67 world fair.
