Montreal has a packed schedule of free events for the 2024 holiday season, with the standout experience being the return of midnight fireworks at the Old Port on December 31, 2024.

This much-anticipated event hasn’t happened since 2022, when Montréal en Fêtes experienced financial challenges and the fireworks were cancelled.

And with all the magical things happening during the Christmas season, the fireworks should be at the top of your list of things to do.

Where can I watch fireworks in New Year's Eve in Montreal?

At least 8 artists will perform between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m., not to mention the traditional countdown and epic fireworks at midnight accompanied by a stunning multimedia performance.

The festivities will take place on the Jacques-Cartier Pier in Old Montreal as part of Igloofête, the free component of Igloofest.
