With wild twists on classic poutine happening all over the city (and country!) thanks to La Poutine Week, Montreal also has a new bagel in town.

Montreal is known for its bagels, whether you’ve eating them hot out of the bagel oven or wearing them on your Nikes.

In response to the recent U.S. tariff situation, one of our favourite Montreal bagel shops has created the (wait for it) Canada bagel.

When it comes to who makes a better bagel, the Canada-U.S. bagel wars have been a thing for years (we all know Montreal’s bagels are better, thanks!).

And this new recipe is about boosting patriotic pride.
