Fresh off of the early April Fools snow, and some record-breaking snow fall in the rearview mirror, the spring weather forecast for Montreal and the rest of Canada is out.

Are you ready?

First off, the temperature outlook for spring 2025 is set to bring above-average warmth across much of Canada.

From British Columbia, Yukon, and southern Northwest Territories through the Prairies and into Southern Ontario, temperatures will be higher than usual.

And while central and northern Quebec will also see unseasonably warm conditions for this time of year, that’s not all.

While parts of Canada will experience above-normal warmth, other regions, including northern Ontario, southern Quebec, and Newfoundland and Labrador, will see seasonal to cooler-than-average temperatures.

In Atlantic Canada, temperatures will remain close to normal, particularly in western areas such as Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick.

Additionally, southeastern Ontario (above the Great Lakes), southeastern Quebec, and Newfoundland and Labrador are set to receive more precipitation than average.

What is the spring 2025 forecast for Montreal?

Southern Quebec will experience cooler-than-average temperatures, with above-normal precipitation in the east and drier conditions in the west.

And in central and northern Quebec, both temperatures and precipitation will be higher than usual.

Early April will bring a mix of rain and snow, transitioning to steady rainfall later in the month and continuing into May, 2025.

Planning a getaway? This spring might be the perfect time to hop on a plane, plan a staycation, or eat and drink your feelings.
