Montreal may have been ranked one of the world’s most congested cities, but when it comes to airports, the city is as clean as a whistle.

The airport survey and awards process, established by Skytrax in 1999, is designed to be independent and unbiased, offering a global customer satisfaction assessment that reflects the international nature of the airport industry.

Mr Philippe Rainville, President & CEO, Aéroports de Montréal, said:

“Over the last few years we tried hard to make sure that our passengers feel what Montreal is all about, a city that is fun, vibrant and very welcoming. It looks like we succeeded. Thank you for this great honour and you can be sure I will share this with the entire community and with the people that made this all happen, our employees.”

Whether you’re flying off to Barbados to visit the oldest rum distillery in the world, or taking advantage of this Canadian airline launching a new route serving free wine, beer and snacks, a super clean airport is always top notch.

What are the World Airport Awards?

More than 100 nationalities were represented in the 2024-2025 survey, with travellers from around the world contributing to the airport customer satisfaction results that determine the award winners.

The World Airport Awards were established in 1999, when Skytrax introduced its first global survey focused on airport customer satisfaction.

Today, the awards are recognized as a leading benchmark of quality in the airport industry, evaluating both service and facilities.
