Vivaldi's The Four Seasons? Carmen? Don Quixote? Les Grands Ballets isn’t messing around when it comes to their free performances this summer.
The stage at Théâtre de Verdure in Montreal’s Parc La Fontaine—the site of over 30 free performances this summer—is where two shows, hosted by Les Grand Ballets, will be enjoyed on August 24 and 25 at 8:30 p.m.
20 dancers will perform a selection of extracts from a mixed program on the stage of the outdoor theatre.
In addition to being one of Montreal’s most stunning parks, Parc La Fontaine is home to Théâtre de Verdure—the newly-renovated theatre that sits on an island of its own surrounded by water in the heart of the park.
The modern open-air theatre takes park life to the next level thanks to a new stage and elevated seating for up to 2,500 people, but don’t forget seating is first come, first served. (In the event of bad weather, the event could be postponed to August 26.)
Grab some take-out from downtown, or your favourite cheap eats, and enjoy the open-air events that are scheduled throughout the summer.
