Are you a thrill-seeker? Fan of extreme sports? This free festival downtown is for you.
Kicking off on March 23, Jeux Urbains is a three-day sports festival thanks to a collaboration between XP_MTL and Centre Eaton de Montreal.
Bringing together nearly 80 high-level international athletes, keep your eyes peeled for Montreal BMX Flatland World Champion Jean William Prévost and many others.
Come and meet festival sponsor Georges St-Pierre, the individual record holder with the most UFC victories, while checking out competitions and demonstrations in several sports disciplines taking place free of charge at the Centre Eaton de Montreal (between Dynamite and Aldo stores).
The event, hosted by Kevin Raphaël—a legendary sports fan—will feature athletes competing in fast-growing disciplines such as flatland BMX, freestyle soccer, combat sports (Olympic wrestling, boxing, karate, judo, taekwondo and fencing).
World-renowned judges from each discipline will be present on the main stage.
All ages are welcome to take part in the family-friendly free activities, including bouldering (in association with Decathlon) and basketball contests, with prizes to be won!
Don’t miss the dance-offs, organized in collaboration with Under Pressure (the international graffiti festival promoting hip hop culture), where you can check out hip-hop, breakdance, popping, waacking. DJ Vinny Bombay will also set the musical tone over the three-day event.
