After a year of forced pauses and delays, one of Quebec's favorite festivals La Festival de la Poutine de Drummondville is back to serve up music, national delicacies and good times from September 2 to 4. It's coming out of 18+ months of lockdowns and restrictions swinging at full force with a musical program that would make other events of this past summer season pretty jealous, too.
Artists like the rapper FouKi will close the first day of festivities, but Marie-Mai will have the honor of closing the musical and gourmet festivities this year. In between, as many as 1,500 festivalgoers admitted per day (as per public health guidelines) will be able to enjoy acts like Marjo, Bleu Jeans Bleu, Sara Dufour, as well as the winner of the Francouvertes 2020, Valence.

That's just the music, though: You can't talk about the Festival de la Poutine without talking about poutine. Three "poutinier" street trucks will be trying to walk away with the Golden Fork for the Best Poutine of the festival, including Le Canadien (2017 champion), the Camion Voltigeurs, and then the Bacon Truck from Das Food Truck Group (2018 champion).
If you couldn't get your hands on tickets—and don't have friends living near Drummondville's Marcel-Dionne Center to listen to the live shows—remember that several of the artists' performances will be broadcasted on the radio during a special program on Rouge 105.3 and Énergie 92.1, so tune in with your own poutine in hand if you can't make it.
Le Festival de la Poutine takes place on September 2, 3 and 4 in Drummondville, one hour and 15 minutes from the city. Tickets start at $29 per night, and can be purchased here.
