Your next winter adventure is only just over an hour north of Montreal.
Forget skiing and ice skating. Soak in the stunning Laurentian scenery for as far as the eye can see from an elevated trail through a forest canopy that ends in a tower with 360-degree views.
Talk about taking your breath away.
A unique, new ecotourism destination in Quebec for families, seniors and nature lovers alike, The Sentier des cimes Laurentides is located in the heart of the Laurentian forest.
The elevated path and gigantic wooden tower blend in with their surroundings for the ultimate outdoor winter experience.
The Sentier des cimes Laurentides, located near Mont-Tremblant about 150 km from Montréal, is over 1 km long with interpretation panels and games along the way.
The path—the round-trip can be completed in less than two hours—finishes in the main tower (40 m high) which offers visitors breathtaking bird’s eye views of the surrounding forest and mountains.
The footbridge and main tower have a maximum slope of 6%, which makes them easily accessible to strollers and wheelchairs. There’s a restaurant on-site, plus a whole slew of spring break activities (treasure hunt, quiz, craft station), guided educational hikes, sunset and full moon evenings, hot chocolate and mulled wine by an outdoor fire pit.
Isn't it romantic?
Throw in some fat bike, cross-country ski and snowshoe trails and it’s officially a winter playground.
