From September 8 to September to 13, shows and galleries featuring a wealth of local acts and professional artists will be taking place at the Société des arts technologiques (SAT) and Place des Arts’ Cinquième Salle downtown. All told, the festival will be made up of more than 100 artists with 34 local performances, 19 of which will be world premieres captured live at the Place des Arts’ Cinquième Salle and in the dome of the SAT plus 24 international performances from 8 countries: Argentina, France, Italy, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Spain, and the United States.

Electronic music and digital art connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike can see the entire line-up in MUTEK's latest release here.

Alongside the bevy of electronic musical acts will be an interactive gallery with over 20 virtual reality, 360°, or sound pieces to check out, a screening room for master classes and presentations from MUTEK's curated forum of sound design and digital artists, and a listening room equipped with an archived 20 years of past MUTEK performances.

For any Montrealers who are squeamish about being in close(r) proximity to others, a virual platform is being set up—free of charge—as the performances happen. If you're some freeloader excited at the prospect of this, however, donations to the organization are encouraged in a PWYC fashion.

Tickets have been on sale since August 26, but upon visiting the festival's box office, it appears that none of the shows—each of which are typically going for $25 to $30 each for in-person performances—have sold out.
