The entry's free, it's dog-friendly with entertainments for the kids, free Wi-Fi, live music playing from 6pm to 9pm, a place to dig your feet in the sand, ice cream and cheap deals on booze: For the next two Thursdays, Montrealers can end the summer on a high note with a visit the to the public gardens of Les Jardineries, an annual social gathering pop-up that happens every summer.
The pandemic didn't stop it from happening, but it did slow down how much access the city would have to it. Tomorrow, Septemeber 17 and September 24 will mark the last days of summer where some 5 à 7 happy hour drink deals are going down, and a place where friends and family can gather.

Each of those Thursdays, there will be specials at the bar including two beers for $14 or two cocktails for $12, so there's never been a better place outdoors to get responsibly sauced in good company while summer comes to a close.
It's run by the collective space organization La Pépinière, who also runs Village au Pied-du-Courant, an urban beach area found on the eastern side of town in Hochelaga. They'll also be selling booze on the cheap from Friday to Sunday (September 25 to 27), with cocktails going for around $7 and beers for $6 to $8.50 alongside food from the Quebec-African restaurant Maquise Yasolo and waffle plates Gaufrabec (who are, interestingly, doing a dessert poutine).
