Discover a new microbrew at Time Out Market Montréal!

Each month, Time Out Market Montréal highlights one of our favourite microbreweries, and this October, it’s all about Brasserie 4 Origines.

What makes Brasserie 4 Origines so special?

Brasserie 4 Origines's mission is to commemorate Montreal's brewing heritage as this great city continues to prosper.

The brewery was founded to pay homage to the local community, to innovate and collaborate with other local businesses, to help educate customers about the brewing process, and above all, to brew independent quality beer that Montrealers can be proud of.

When will the free beer tasting take place at Time Out Market Montreal?

Don't miss the official tasting day on Thursday, October 3, from 5 PM to 8 PM, at the Beer Bar at Time Out Market Montréal (one of the six bars in the Market).

You’ll have the chance to meet the brand ambassador during happy hour and benefit from their expertise while sipping on Brasserie 4 Origines' latest creation.

What beers will be available at the Market?

Ein Stein | Amber German Lager

Brewed in collaboration with the friends at Dispensaire, Ein Stein pays homage to amber German lagers, traditionally served during Oktoberfests in Bavaria.

Made with German malts and hopped with Tettnang, along with a touch of Quebec Hallertau Mittelfrüh grown at Duke 25 Hops, this copper-coloured beer presents aromas of lightly toasted bread and biscuit, with a subtly spicy and dry finish that irresistibly invites another sip.

Helles Ja! | Helles Lager

In German, “Helles” means “bright,” and this version of the classic lager truly lives up to its name with its clear and bright appearance.

It reveals aromas of grains, fresh baguette, and honey, accompanied by noble German hops. Easy to drink, it features a light body and subtle sweetness, balanced by a crisp bitterness in the finish.

Fraser | IPA

This new West Coast IPA was named “Fraser” in honour of Simon Fraser, a Montrealer who was one of the first Anglo-Americans to explore British Columbia in the early 19th century. Just like Fraser, this beer ventures into the unknown to discover what the West Coast can offer.

Brewed with Idaho 7 and Simcoe hops from the Pacific Northwest of the United States, along with Quebec Cascade from Houblon Bastien (RIP) and Quebec malts from Innomalt, it reveals the classic notes of West Coast IPAs: resinous and citrusy accents, while also showcasing a juicy side with subtle hints of tangerine and apricot.
