A new storm gathering over Texas will hit the province this weekend, bringing up to 20 centimetres, strong winds and blowing snow across the city.
Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a special weather warning for the Montreal area that cautions more accumulating snow, and ice and freezing rain.
The snowfall is expected to begin overnight on Friday and end late into Saturday, with freezing rain on Saturday afternoon.
Rapidly accumulating snowfall can make travel challenging so anticipate changing road conditions.
