If you're like us, you've been vacillating between two things: Getting through to the end of 2020, and realizing you've been so focused on getting through to the end 2020 that you realize you haven't finished your holiday shopping.

Thankfully, downtown's Société des arts technologiques is setting Montrealers up with a Last Minute Market at its Café SAT on December 19 from 11am to 5pm, all a stone's throw from the Winter Garden installation set up in the Quartier des spectacles. This is the first time they've reopened their doors to the public since the second lockdown the city experience in October.

Here's how it works: There are food and wine baskets to buy, as well as products from local producers.

Since the beginning of the month, Montrealers have had a chance to pre-order baskets with or without wine or bubbles. While pre-ordering is still an option right now—and that includes assortments of Quebec wines and ciders along with natural wine and bubble baskets—the opening day of December 19 will be your last chance for a last minute Christmas market.

Each basket feeds four and comes in three different options: The 'Veg' with terrine, rillettes, Quebec cheese and a Yule log; the 'Pesci' with terrine, rillettes, smoked Gaspésie char, Quebec cheese, and Yule log (with the option of extra caviar); or the 'Everything' with terrine, rillettes, smoked Gaspésie char, foie gras torchon, Quebec cheese, and a Yule log.

If the baskets don't get your attention, try products for the foodie in your life from 400 Pieds de Champignons, Birri, Au Gré des Champs, Fromagerie Nouvelle-France, Fromagerie le Détour, Bleumarin, La Canardière, Les Jardins VMO, or La Ferme d’Achille.
