Just in time for fall, one of Montreal’s most glorious getaway seasons, the MICHELIN guide has announced a new Canadian ranking and Quebec swept the list.
Fresh off the news that MICHELIN inspectors are eating their way across the province, the prestigious guide is also highlighting exceptional Canadian hotels.
From Montreal to Quebec City with stops in North Hatley, Baie-St-Paul and Mont-Tremblant in between, the inaugural list featured a total of 2 Three Key hotels, 8 Two Key hotels, and 23 One Key hotels in Canada, with 8 properties in Quebec.
Similar to MICHELIN’s restaurant stars, the hotels are rated on a three-point scale: One Key ("very special"), Two Key ("exceptional") or Three Key ("extraordinary").
Each property is judged across five categories: architecture and interior design; quality and consistency of service; overall personality and character; value for the price, and a significant contribution to the guest experience in a particular setting.
Whether you're looking for the best cheap hotels, or a next-level getaway, this list is for you.
