Wild Cherry Pepsi Aioli? Smoked brisket patty and BBQ Baconnaise? Fried banana, Nutella, maple syrup, red pepper jelly sandwiched between French toast?

Le Burger Week swept the country this September, and the public had the chance to eat and vote for their favourite burgers across Canada.

Next-level burgers from Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, Regina, Calgary, Vancouver, Winnipeg, and Saskatoon were in the mix, with 5 burgers topping the charts—wacky, delicious and out-of-this-world ingredients included.

Awarded the prestigious Judge’s choice (and one of the top 5 burgers in Montreal) was the mouthwatering Zestee Big Marthy! burger from Chez Simon Cantine Urbaine at Time Out Market Montréal—home to some of the best chefs and restaurants in the city.

A beef patty smothered in bacon, crispy onion tanglers, Emmental cheese, crunchy lettuce, and Zestee sauce with parmesan, lemon, and garlic, it comes as a surprise to absolutely no one that the king of the smashburger won this coveted award.

Where to find the best burger in Canada?

From burgers with blueberry/strawberry-infused buns to deep fried jalapeño bottle caps, here are the winners:
