If you’ve paid a visit to Time Out Market Montréal, you might have scoped the magazine racks filled with our first issue since the grand opening, but now you can officially find it all across the island (and we mean the whole island), and the surrounding area.
All copies of Time Out Montréal are 100% free for you take home and will be hand-distributed throughout the metro today and tomorrow. You’ll also be able to find stacks of mags in retail stores, pharmacies, movie theatres, cafés, dépanneurs and everything in between, so keep an eye out for your copy! For a detailed list of where to find it, click here. A full list of metro stations for today’s and tomorrow’s distribution can be found at the bottom of this article.
This first issue gives you the low-down on why you need to check out Time Out Market Montréal while highlighting the best places to hang Downtown, amazing Montrealers who are making the city cooler by the minute, a story on Kiki Ballroom performances in the city, a scavenger hunt contest to win a Time Out Market Montréal gift card worth $100 and a whole lot more!
Here’s Time Out Montréal editor JP Karwacki’s letter to the city in our first issue:
You’re a knockout, Montréal—a world-class city with culture and unmistakable talent reverberating through the streets. Over the past year, it’s been my ambitious but rewarding task to launch Time Out Montréal, a celebration of the best things to do, eat, see and drink here. These expert selections can be found in the pages of this magazine and online at timeout.com/montreal, with our handpicked choices taking center stage at the newly launched Time Out Market Montréal. In other words: If it’s great, it goes into our media and magazine; if it’s unmissable, it goes into our market. Curated by our editorial staff, this exciting culinary and cultural destination is the place where you can taste the cuisine of the city’s best chefs and restaurants—all under one roof. When you visit, just make sure to bring that swaggering bon vivant lifestyle we know and love you for. Santé!
