The best Montreal shops and dépanneurs for beer delivery and takeout

This beer boutique in Pointe-Saint-Charles should be one of the first names that should come to mind if you want great microbrews brought straight to your door. They’ve recently launched their delivery service which will bring out orders as far as Rosemont, the Plateau and Hochelaga—so really, where won’t they go? Just visit their website to check out the selection (link below).

We love this boutique because it's perfect for your next happy hour: Located on Monk Boulevard in Ville-Émard, there are more than 200 different beers neatly arranged inside a huge custom-designed fridge, several Quebec ciders and wines, and a small section of cheeses, charcuterie, and coffees from Montreal microbreweries, as well as a freezer filled with magnificent seafood from the Gaspé Peninsula. Pretty much a one-stop snacking and sudsy shop.

With three boutiques located in the Sud-Ouest, in the Plateau  on Mont-Royal, as well as on the South-Shore in Saint-Bruno, plus an evening delivery service if ordered before 4 p.m.? You don't need many more reasons to drink (and snack) from the palm of Quebec's hand via Peluso. In addition to an impressive selection of beers from Quebec microbreweries, you'll also find wines, ciders, kombucha, sausages, chips, olives, cheeses and much more to enhance your evening. Santé!

A response to the pandemic from the team behind some of the city's best cocktail bars, Coldroom and El Pequeño, Dépanneur BFCB is a response to the forced closure of bars that lasted months during Montreal's pandemic lockdowns. It's a beautiful pivot: A bespoke shop with a Quebec-only inventory of speciality microbrews, wines and cider and same night delivery if ordered before 4 p.m. Since they've started, the inventory is only getting bigger, and they're looking to give you a nicely curated experience if you're looking to explore new flavours. Dive in!

Our advice before visiting one of the two locations of Expérience Bière (one in the Village and the other in Plateau Mont-Royal) would be to not arrive thirsty. If you are, it's at your own risk, because you're in a Quebecois drinking paradise here. Take advantage of the snack section to give any evening some oomph as well.

This dépanneur specializing in Quebec microbrewery beers distinguishes itself not only by its impressive quantity of beer, but also by its "recycled" interior design and having one of the most playful online stores in town: We can shop around for beers according to the top 5 favorites of the employees, the new releases, the "returns", or according to the top ciders available at the moment—all using data from the "Untappd" beer app. Shopping here can also come with a panoply of other gourmet productsto bulk up your pantry.

"Want a beer?" If your answer is yes, head to one of the three beer stores specializing in Quebec microbrewery beers located in Mile-End, Rosemont-La-Petite-Patrie and Villeray. You can either shop by the style you're looking for, by the producer, or you can simply select a "staff case" that each employee will have carefully curated according to their favourites of the moment. Don't forget to pay attention to the grocery store section of each location either!Same day delivery available.

Inside this small locavore convenience store in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, you will find not only a very interesting selection of Quebec products, but also more than 400 different beers from Quebec microbreweries. Note that they also have a very nice selection of wines and ciders: A must-stop for any picnic, aperitif or evening with friends!

If you’re in Verdun, you’re in luck: This little microbrew shop is selling both food and beer for delivery (with a few occasional exceptions, especially if your order includes merch). The delivery’s being done a little on the pirate side of things, as it’s only accepting email orders with bank transfers for payment.

Open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 1pm to 6pm, Reservoir is offering selections of beer by the bottle and can that are regularly changed. Last we saw, a selections of pilsner, citra, a grapefruit IPA, a rhubarb wheat ale, brown ale and lager made with kefir lime leaves and pink peppercorn were all up for grabs.

Running a beer takeout spot from their Verdun location on Wellington Boulevard, Benelux is open and also selling their beer to go, all freshly brewed. Their brewery at Brasserie du Canal is working full tilt, producing bottles and cans of all our seasonal favourites.

Their delicious menu may no longer be available, but Harricana’s beers mercifully still are. Online orders can be made through their website and delivery is available within a limited zone—check on their site to see if you can order up. We’re talking cans and bottles of all their best, but if you really want to class things up, order up a box set.

Up in Little Italy and want one of the best watering holes in town? No problem. If you message these champions of local beer on Facebook, you can grab some drinks to go. Check ahead of time to see when they’re open and ready to serve you.

Full feasts are available for pickup from this brewery, making takeout meals that are frozen and ready to be cooked at home alongside over a dozen beers to pick from—mango and tangerine, raspberry and jasmine, bitters and brown ales and blondes. Calling ahead to place your order is strongly recommended as the food can sometimes sell out fast.

If you’re the type of person who likes to jump from one bar to the next, why not head to one spot where you can get your hands on a wide selection? MaBrasserie’s kept the doors of their boutique open, selling takeout dishes and beers from both their bar and many others in town like Hubbub and BrouePub BroueHaHa. Open seven days a week, grab a chocolate-raspberry beer to go with your smoked meat spaghetti.

Sometimes you’ll need to travel to get the best. Do so responsibly and arrive at this novel name on the beer scene in the city. Messorem is always selling batches of their latest and freshest, and bonus, they're mercifully close to the edge of the Lachine Canal. Just be sure to pick up food to eat with it, just in case the cops show up!

Leave it to one of the best names in local business to offer beers for delivery in the city. Deliveries are free for orders of $25 or more ($2.50 for under that) within the following boundaries: “North, rue Bélanger; to the west, boulevard St-Denis; to the south, Ontario Street; to the east, boulevard Pie-IX.” They’ve also got food for order that pairs great with their bottles and growlers.

If you’ve got wheels, Siboire’s got a service that’s perfect for you: Order and pay easily through their website, pull in to their main site brewery’s parking lot and an attendant will be there to drop your cans in your trunk. It’s fast, easy and full of delicious beers to try out.
