Time Out says

Boasting nearly 300 acres, Tropical Park is one of Miami's largest urban parks. A Saturday farmers' market makes it a favorite for locals on weekends while local high schools use the grounds for sporting events on weekdays. The biggest draw is the annual holiday carnival, Santa's Enchanted Forest.

What’s on

Miami-Dade CountryFest

Yeehaw! It's high time for another edition of the Miami-Dade CountryFest, a festive and family-friendly cattle show that's been running since 2008. The main draw here is the International Livestock Show and Rodeo, where you can feast your eyes on diverse livestock breeds and professional rodeo competitions, including bull and bronc riding, team roping and barrel racing. But CountryFest at Tropical Park also includes a global cattle showcase, the RoundUp stage with local live music, a petting zoo, a Vendor Valley filled with artisan goods and a Pioneer Playzone where your littlest cowpokes can burn off some steam. It's all complemented by plenty of food trucks and booze, and even a VIP Saloon with an open bar and private restrooms. Free with RSVP
