Olujimi Dance Theatre: "T.W.E.R.K."

This creative collective, founded by Alvin Ailey alum Michelle Grant-Murray to celebrate Black women in dance, aims through its dynamic choreography, themes and costumes to speak to both feminine power and ecological stewardship. Its January production, cheekily titled “T.W.E.R.K.,” is an acronym for Transitional dance Works and practices that Evoke Revolutionary Kinship.
