HistoryMiami and beloved Latino icon Walter Mercado present the first public exhibition chronicling and celebrating the illustrious astrologer’s life and career. From the sugarcane fields of Puerto Rico to one of the world’s most famous and flamboyant psychic astrologers, Mercado and his televised horoscopes reached 120 million Latino viewers a day for more than 30 years. To ring in the 50th anniversary of his first show, "Mucho, Mucho Amor: 50 Years of Walter Mercado" will exhibit Mercado’s costumes (12 famous capes, including one worn during the Puerto Rican pride parade in NYC and later worn by Lin-Manuel Miranda), plus mementos and other curious ephemera.
