Dr. Paul George’s annual cemetery tour is going virtual but that doesn’t mean it’s going to be any less eerie. Follow HistoryMiami’s resident historian on a jaunt through the historic graveyard, which was founded in 1897, just one year after the City of Miami was incorporated. You’ll hear stories of the city’s most notable residents, including the city’s first mayor, the Burdine family and Julia Tuttle—all of which have been laid to rest in the historic Miami Cemetery. Plus, visit the final resting place of Carrie B. Miller, whose body was famously molded in a block of concrete.
