Time Out says

This intensely charming Miami Beach venue boasts some of the most eclectic bookings in the city. Run by the Rhythm Foundation, a group devoted to bringing rare world music to Miami, the Miami Beach Bandshell has its fair share of both jazz and Latin shows, bringing acts from the islands of the Caribbean to the tip of South America.

What’s on

Matisyahu

Oh, how the stars are aligning for this one. Hannukah kicks off on December 25 and runs through January 2. Smack dab in the middle, spiritual hip-hoppin’ dude of awesomeness Matisyahu lands on Miami Beach with his Festival of Light holiday show. Miami’s own Electric Kif, who are as funky and jazzy as it gets, open the show.

GroundUp Music Festival

Prepare to be graced by sets from two-time Grammy winner Snarky Puppy for back-to-back nights at the Miami Beach Bandshell on February 8 and 9. If you haven’t jammed to the band’s jazz-infused flair, prepare for maximum funkiness. Leading up to the live music, you can also partake in master classes, followed by performances from like-minded bands joining in on the festival. Also part of the GroundUp fun: the return of the Family Dinner experience on Saturday night, featuring eight guest artists performing collaborative tracks with Snarky Puppy.
