What better way to spend the longest day of the year than by filling it with the eclectic sounds of Miami’s many talented music makers? All across the city–and around the world–musicians will take to the streets, stages, sidewalks and other public spaces to celebrate the summer solstice with free performances spanning hundreds of cultures and genres, from Afro-French to indie-jazz to youth showcases. Originally launched as Fête de la Musique in Paris in 1982, Make Music invites you to welcome the summer season surrounded by community, good vibes and of course killer live tunes. Be sure to check the official website for information on performance times, venues and program highlights, from Lincoln Road and North Beach Bandshell to your local public libraries and parks.
