The inimitable Debbie Harry is a small powerhouse of a musician, actor and activist best known as the singer and front person of the iconic early new wave/punk band Blondie. After the group broke up in the early ‘80s, Harry embarked on a successful solo career, recording five solo albums while honing her acting skills in 30 film roles and several television appearances. In her new memoir, Face It, Harry blends first-person essays, interviews, never-before-seen photographs, illustrations and fan art to trace her trajectory from the gritty downtown scene of 1970s New York through the near-death of her partner and Blondie co-founder Chris Stein and onwards. At this coveted Miami Book Fair event, Harry will be joined by Stein and moderator/creative director Rob Roth for a special multimedia performance.
