Altar Boyz

If the Backstreet Boys were schooled in a Jesus camp, the result might look something like the fictitious quintet of this satirical musical comedy. The Middle American heartthrobs known as the Altar Boyz embark on the final concert of their “Raise the Praise” tour, in which they perform pious pop to swooning converts—until internecine acrimony, and a big-city audience skeptical of their message, threatens to torpedo the group.
