Osteria Morini Miami's Chef de Cuisine Tommy Levandoski has teamed up with Chef Scott Linquist of COYO Taco for the latest edition of A Casa MIA, an ongoing dinner pop-up series in South Beach. After its first successful takeover by sister restaurant Marea, the Michelin-starred NYC institution, Osteria Morini welcomes Miami Beach local Linquist to create an "Italia con Mexico" mashup. Drawing on Linquist's background at the likes of Serena Rooftop, Como Como, COYO Taco and New York's Dos Caminos, the duo will serve up bold dishes like the Tortellini di Barbacoa, little pockets filled with slow-roasted lamb shoulder, birria brodo onion and Calabrian chile. To help set the mood, the canal-front Italian restaurant will be decked out in sugar skull arrangements by South Beach Farmer and florals by the new neighborhood boutique Pozy!, with live music starting at 7:30pm each night.
