Cities like Paris and New York are crawling with cool, concept stores showcasing up-and-coming designers and special fashion collabs. With the arrival of L.A.’s trendy shop TenOverSix, which relocated from Melrose to Little River this spring, Miami is inching its way up the ranks. The new location is no coincidence either: owner Kristen Lee Cole purposely scouts burgeoning areas for her shops. “We love an emerging neighborhood for TenOverSix. It suits our brand ethos of shining a light on emerging and independent design and fashion,” she says. Draped in Art Deco pink and various pastel hues, the arty store stocks a roster of emerging designers and brands with a growing presence in SoFlo, from Beatriz and Boy Smells to Valenzuela. Like its previous location and sister outpost in Dallas, Little River’s TenOverSix inventory is a tightly edited selection of the dopest accessories (sunglasses are its best seller), furniture (Miami doubles down in this category), clothing and unique gifts.
