If bright, funky and flowy guide our sartorial choices, there’s a new place to stock up on all kinds of cheerful garb. Farm Rio, Brazil’s most well-known label for tropical dressing, opened its first Miami store inside the Aventura Mall. Racks on racks of vibrant caftans, billowy chiffon dresses and cute cover-ups line the shop, which was designed by Brazilian architect Marcelo Rosenbaum to be more immersive rather than traditional retail space. From the breezy samba that plays throughout and the accent wall made from repurposed mussel shells to the straw-wrapped garment wraps made by the Amazonian Kayapó tribe, every detail was deliberately intended to make the retail space feel like a true Brazilian oasis. And, as if we needed a reason to pick up one of Farm Rio’s eye-catching flocks: the brand plants a tree through its One Tree Planted initiative for every garment sold.
