In the 30-plus years the Warren family has owned and run Frieze (named for its first location’s Art Deco influence), neither quality nor production has changed much—and that’s a good thing. Every flavor is still made in house using all-natural ingredients (all ice cream is kosher dairy and sorbets pareve-certified), so scoops of cappuccino chip, mango sorbet and creamy vanilla are just as delicious, and affordable by South Beach standards, as the day the shop first opened.
