Pizza, bagels, cronuts—there isn’t a New York City export Miamians aren’t dying to sink their teeth into. The latest 212 arrival is Root & Bone, Jeff McInnis’ and Janine Booth’s successful East Village spot. Taking over the former American Harvest space in South Miami, the local outpost of the classic southern restaurant is spacious and airy, decked in modern accents that belie the menu’s rural American inspiration. From fried chicken and biscuits and deviled eggs to gooey corn spoon bread, Root & Bone covers the classics and then some.
