This serene and familial restaurant is the sort of come-as-you-are establishment you don’t see much of the days. Started in the ‘70s by Yaron and Shula Yemini as a veggie food truck, Naomi’s is now run by the couple’s kids, Noam and Omaar, and serves a largely Haitian menu that’s heavy on the meat. First time trying island cooking? Your first spot should be the goat, which you can get fried or in a stew. Pair your choice of meat with one of Naomi’s homemade sides and you’ve got a satisfying meal with guaranteed leftovers to enjoy later. Portions are more than generous and prices are kept unbelievably low.
