Is it ever too hot for soup? Perhaps, though not if it’s Momi’s ramen. This Brickell spot, known for staying open late and satiating many a drunk diner, serves some of the tastiest, unctuous broth in town. The menu here is short and to the point: pick your protein (shrimp, chicken, pork belly, wagyu) add a side dish or appetizer (dumplings, steamed buns, salad) and finish off your order with a drink. Ramen arrives piping hot to your table, heaped into an oversize bowl filled with pulled noodles, sliced hard-boiled eggs and veggies. The downside? All that will cost you upwards of $30, which is steep for a bowl of soup but sharing is encouraged. Truly, the only way to do Momi is with a group, sharing bowls of ramen and inexpensive small plates while commiserating over the restaurant’s annoyingly inconvenient cash-only policy.
