If you’ve had a piece of bacon in Miami that was so perfectly cured it made you do a double-take, chances are it came from Miami Smokers. These local experts provide some of the best restaurants in town with a selection of smoked meats, including the crispy bits sprinkled atop Salty Donut’s creations and the sizzling strips featured in LoKal’s classic BLT.
Co-owners James Bowers and Andres Barrientos started smoking bacon at home before moving into the Little Havana USDA-certified facility. Inside there’s a small sandwich shop the duo closed and reopened in early May. Visit the counter for epic charcuterie spreads and cheese boards made with stracciatella sourced nearby in MiMo and delicious Mt Tam Cowgirl Creamery cheese from California. Get your delicious pork candied and packaged, wrapped around sweet plantains as a starter or as the main event in hearty sandwiches.
