If the Jetsons had a favorite restaurant in Miami, it’d be Le Jardinier. There’s no techy vending machine dispensing your entrée and the servers aren’t gentle and nurturing robots, but the aesthetic is certainly something you’d expect to see in the future. Plus, the stark-white furnishings and emerald-green accents give it a special visionary quality we can only assume the cartoon family would appreciate.
The vegetable-focused menu is equally forward-thinking, featuring seasonal cuisine and responsibly sourced seafood plated among all types of colorful foams and viscus reductions. There are seared chunks of fresh tuna served in a creamy pool of avocado and cherry-smoked purple potatoes served alongside roasted lobster, as well as a deconstructed take on a Twix bar that looks like a dirt cup but tastes much more sophisticated. With so much care put into plating, the fussy dishes are clearly conceived to be photographed as much as they’re intended to be consumed and enjoyed.
