Time Out says

Because not everyone can make the trek to South Beach or Wynwood for a cool supper club experience—nor should you have to—La Mesa brings a modern take on Cuban food, plus tasty cocktails, to the Westchester ’burbs. Everything you’d want from a trendy eatery, like a stage with rotating live musical acts and several Instagrammable backdrops, and a menu that reads like an updated version of Abuela’s greatest hits (from croquetas and yuca frita to fufu de platano) is what’s in store at this strip-mall gem. Cocktail Cartel, the duo responsible for a number of top-notch beverage programs across the city, crafted the list of Cuban-inspired drinks, which range from the traditional mojito to the less-expected Westchester Spritz with Aperol and grapefruit soda. La Mesa also opens for brunch. Should you find yourself craving something beyond your usual tostada y café on Sunday morning, they turn tostada into avocado toast.
