Lincoln Road is compact, but there’s still enough room for two Mexican restaurants. La Cervezeria de Barrio is the latest sprawling, indoor/outdoor Mexican joint to move into the pedestrian mall and it’s already buzzing. Though its name literally translates to “neighborhood brewery,” the 260-seat restaurant is more than just a place to drink beer. The seafood-focused menu boasts cuisines from Mexico’s seven regions, featuring tacos, burritos and various small plates stacked with soft-shell crab, fried fish, shrimp and more than 15 varieties of shellfish. Guac is available in three styles, all of which are made the old-fashioned way in a piedra de molcajete. Drink options abound to include 300 types of tequila and 100 brews, plus the smattering of cocktails available. Take a beat before you settle on just one.
