Finally, one of the city’s top boutique roasters has a home of its own: House of Per’la is the place to savor third-wave coffee of the highest quality, all produced locally by Chris Nolte and Paul Massard. From dark to light roasts and espresso to cold brew, the selection is what one should expect from a specialty coffee shop, down to the milk alternatives—oat, almond, soy and the likes. Stave off the caffeine jitters with a pastry or sandwich from the extensive café menu, created in partnership with Giorgio Rapicavoli from Eating House. Breakfast staples, such as avocado toast, oatmeal and French toast, are served all day alongside standard lunch fare—think soup, salads and sandwiches.
