For mainland Miamians, France is no longer across the pond—it's over the causeway. Newly opened French 27, whose name derives from the country’s 27 regions, brings a certain je ne sais quoi to South of Fifth’s culinary scene, like a focus on fresh ingredients and an abundance of European cheeses and charcuterie imported daily. Patrons will feel like they’ve made the transatlantic flight digging into dishes such as duck confit, served in a romantic indoor/outdoor dining room complete with a fountain.
