For its latest iteration, Art Deco-era Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club introduces Donna Mare Trattoria, a sweeping Italian restaurant decked in whitewashed wood. The property-adjacent space operates as a neighborhood restaurant, even boasting a separate entrance for folks from the area. Its vast Italian menu pulls from different regions though the focus is mostly on Lombardy, highlighting dishes from the northern region of the country like cheesy polenta, risotto and ravioli. There’s a welcome curveball in the smattering of seafood options presented, from the light linguine vongole and locally sourced fish of the day to the classic branzino. While requisite of most Italian spots, this particular branzino is rich, buttery and larger than most you’ll spot on most menus. Wines and cocktails abound, but save the former to the end. The crisp cucumber martini is the ideal way to ease into helpings of creamy burrata and vine-ripened tomatoes.
