What began as a justifiably trendy taqueria with a hidden back bar on the main strip of a then much quieter Wynwood Arts District has become one of Miami’s most successful homegrown chain restaurants. Known for its Mexican street food-inspired tacos, quesadillas, bowls and other staples along will a killer guac, homemade tortillas and deceptively strong frozen margaritas, Coyo will open its latest outpost on Giralda Plaza in the heart of Coral Gables. Slated to debut by the end of this summer, guests can expect Coyo’s same laid-back vibes and signature recipes at the Coral Gables location, with some added flare. Check out the breezy outdoor patio on the plaza, over 50 tequilas and mezcal varieties and its very own hidden speakeasy, open nightly with special programming.
