Conceived by Tony Cao, grandson of the founder of Miami’s ubiquitous Vicky Bakery chain, CAO Bakery & Café debuted earlier this year. Named in honor of the Cao family, whose baking tradition spans three generations, the new brand is intended to introduce Miami to the next generation of Cuban-American bakeries while still maintaining many of its staple menu items, like pastelitos, cakes and croquetas. The new concept expands upon some existing Vicky locations with new menu items like a Medio Día sandwich and the Sloppy José, café style seating and extended hours. CAO Bakery has locations across South Florida.
