Before you roll your eyes at yet another “global concept,” take a moment to consider that, maybe, some chefs really do just appreciate cuisines from around the world. Such is the case for Puerto Rico’s Christian Quiñones, who’s channeled his passion for international flavors into the menu at ADDiKt. There’s the octopus aficionada that draws from Peruvian cooking techniques, the all-American Kansas City bone-in steak and Middle-Eastern-inspired carrots spiced with harissa, among other well-executed worldly options. Quiñones’s prowess with veggies is impressive, wielding carrots into a showy side you can’t help but Instagram and taking cauliflower from humble plant to the star ingredient in a satisfying entrée. Cocktails measure up taste-wise but the drinks aren’t nearly as stunning as the food. Be sure to request a table near a window; the perimeter of the restaurant offers floor-to-ceiling views of Biscayne Bay and Brickell.
