This expansive open-air venue in the heart of Little Haiti is akin to what the Wynwood Yard might have looked like if it went to Burning Man one summer and came back with a new wardrobe of fringed vests and feather boas and starry-eyed dreams of peace, love and unity. A self-dubbed immersive art park and gathering space dotted with food trucks, bars, roving light sculptures and grassy areas for lounging, BaseCamp aims to bring together the community with regular live music and arts programming from day to night, pop-up shops and sustainable restaurants. Current food and beverage concepts include the locally inspired Commissary food truck by star chef Todd English and the Agave Worm, where you can order up tequila flights and swing beneath a giant shady tree.
