East, Miami’s other rooftop bar (and restaurant) combines snacktime and happy hour with a convenient happy hour offered in its cozy indoor lounge. Every weekday from 5 to 8pm, order a beer ($5), glass of wine ($8) or cocktail ($10) and receive a complimentary small plate with each drink. Selections are all chef’s choice and range from empanadas to lamb skewers to small pizzas. No need to pace yourself: the more drinks you order, the more food you get.
The Gale South Beach’s new rooftop bar throws an Italian-themed happy hour they’re dubbing La Dolce Vita every Thursday through Sunday, from 4 to 8pm. Watch the sun set over Collins Avenue while you sip on discounted cocktails, play games on the turf—think life-size Connect Four and cornhole—and jam out to a live DJ.
We love a good rooftop as much as the next guy but al fresco cocktails at ground level are great, too. Every day from 3 to 7pm, settle into a couch at Lulu for half-priced cocktails, draft beer and wine by the glass and the best people-watching this side of South Beach.
