We can't say we're surprised about this one, but we're certainly delighted: according to a recent study by home decor store Hastha Kalalu, Brickell in Miami is one of the friendliest neighborhoods in America.
To carry out the survey, the company looked at U.S. Census, Zillow and FBI crime data, comparing 30 of the most searched districts across the nation based on affordability, safety and community vibe.
Brickell, the second most densely populated neighborhood in the top ten, made it to number seven.
"The high safety is an important factor, distinguishing it in the Miami area," reads the study.
Elkhorn in Omaha tops the ranking overall, thanks to its low crime rate, highest safety among all top ten neighborhoods and, bonus points!, low cost of living.
The top three is rounded out by Kingwood in Houston and South Side in Corpus Christi, indirectly turning Texas into the most convivial state in the nation.
For what it's worth, though, we'll stay put in Brickell.
